The Baby

Watching this, I didn't really see how it could be classed as a horror film - although the mum's hairstyle is quite scary. It's basically about a woman who goes to investigate a case where a mother and her two daughters are bringing up an adult son as a baby. It seems bizarrely, they treat him much younger than his mental age and call him 'baby'. The woman kidnapps 'the baby' and there's a chase, so on. The is a odd scene where the babysitter is suposidly breast feeding the 30 year old baby - vile. Anyway it's not THAT bad, just a bit odd.

Bad Taste

This is very funny and gory at the same time (picture featuring alien eating someone's brains out with a spoon). It is one of Peter Jackon's first films and is brilliant! Lord Crumb and his alien troops land and they've already packed up the whole of a small town in boxes to sell to a fast food chain! The only people that can save the Earth and kick the crap out of these types of aliens are 'The Boys' - Derek, Frank, Oz and Barry (Dererk is played by Director Peter Jackson. It is a true cult film and is brilliant! A must see!!!!

Basket Case

Duane Bradly mysteriously carries round a big, padlocked wicker basket with him everywhere. He feeds it hamburgers, and speaks to it in hushed words. What is it?It's only his brother that likes to bite peoples faces off and stuff. They were the famous Bradley twins - the deformed Belial was attacthed to Duane's side and doctors removed it from the unwilling Duane. Beliale was thrown in the trash, but after they killed their dad, their Granny (or aunty) looked after them and kept them seculded. Now they are going round New York, hunting down the tam of doctors who so callously removed the two from eachother. Belial also seems to have a taste for the ladies. This is a funny, cult film with quite a lot of brutal biting peoples faces off scenes. Strange that every woman in the film wears a wig.

Basket Case 3

More of a comedy than a horror - though it has blood and gore. Duane and Belial the 'freak twins' join nice old Granny Ruth and her home of 'Unique individuals'. Duane is in a straight jacket for pushing his girlfriend out the window when he found out that she was a few years pregnant. On the other hand, Belile has a girlfriend and is about to be a father! Time for a bigger basket. The set off on a road trip but some police officers decide to capture the 'children' of Belile in order to get a cash reward. However, Granny Ruth and Belile aren't too happy, so Belile is let loose on a rmapage around the police station (this has some very good gory scenes!). The 'unique individuals' are hilarious.

The Blair Witch Project

It's one film that people find either way - some find it terrifying whereas some find it cheap rubbish that couldn't scare a fly. I found it very well made and quite eerie. No other film had really attempted to make such a film before this. The fact that is completely shot on a video camera adds to the effect that it is real. It's about three film students who go to make a documentary in the woods about the so called 'Blair witch' - a legend in the town. They get lost and come across wierd voodoo type arrangements. Then at night, they hear wierd noises and it seems that they are not alone in the barren woodland. None of them come out alive. I love the film - it genuinly creeps me out probably because it seems more realsitic as you don't get to actually see anything and it's shot on a hand held camera. Brilliant!

The Blair witch Project - Book of Shadows

This isn't as good as the first one because it isn't the same. You would have thought that as The Blair Witch project was so popular, they would have made the sequel based on the same lines - meant to be real. It isn't made to seem real, it is just in ordinary film format. A group of students visit the Blair Woods and something odd happens to them which they can't remember. They are staying in a type of warehous on the edge of the woods and they start hallucinating and seeing things - not knowing which is real. The film has some clever add ins which aren't spotted with the human eye. However, I don't think it matches up to the Blair Witch project.

Body Bags

These are quite an amusing set of horror tales - there is one guy who wants long hair so badly, he'll try anything and regrets it when snakes like alien sprout out of his face. A baseball player who loses his eye and has micro-surgery to give him a new eye - the eye from a dead criminal and more. These are just fun to watch :-)

Body Snatchers

This film didn't really hold my attention, but maybe that's just me. It's about a girl and her family moving to a milatary base. People start acting strange, not like themselves and they discover that pod like things are growing and taking the form of people and killing the real people in the process. It is good if you are into the body snatcher type movies, though it doesn't have much blood effects etc - you'd have to watch it yourself.

The Blob

Extremely un scary - only to be watched as a laugh. People are terroirsed by a small mass of goo which moves at the same speed as a tortoise. They are so terrified that they just have to stay on one spot screaming while the Blob takes a long time to reach them and swallow them up. Though, it is old so that gives it an excuse.

Bride of Chucky

Chucky's back in the last of the Child's Play series so far. This is more humorous than the other two but still has high blood count. Chucky's girlfriend seeks out his broken Good Guy doll body and sticthes it back together. Using the voodoo for dummies book, she attempts to bring him back to life. This does happen, but she gets mad when she finds out he never intened to marry her when he was alive. When Chucky escapes from his play pen, he transports her soul into a girl doll. So, together they follow an eloping boy and girl so they can take over their bodies. It has a good story line, very funny and the dolls are very life like plus there are some good killing scenes. Bizarrly enough, Chucky's bride has a baby in the end, so maybe this means another Child's Play?

Brain Damage

This is just hilarious to watch! From the makers of Basket Case. It's quite hard to explain the plot.... The main character comes across this thing called Elma who speaks in a posh voice and looks like something you'd find down a toilet. By injecting the guy in the back of the neck with a seringe that comes from Elma's mouth, the guy is in ecstasy with the strange drug. He sees bright colours and music - though he could have gone to a night club for the same effect, which would be less painful. While he is under and getting adicted to the drug, he goes round killing people. It's fun to watch!

Brain Dead

THE GORIEST FILM EVER!!! This honestly is, you have to see it to believe it. But it is hilarious in the way it is made - Peter Jackon's greatest work of art. Lional is a timid, mummy's boy who falls in love with Paquita, a Spanish girl from the local shop. Mother doesn't approve. She follows them to the zoo where they have gone on their date and gets bitten by an exotic animal - the rat monkey. So called because the rats came over to rape all the monkeys. Although Mother crushes the rat monkey with her stilhetto heel, her arm in infected and she feels ill. Lional's looking after her and there are inmportant people coming and her face is falling off! He sedates Mother when she is a fully fledged undead and the others that have the virus and locks them in the basement. But there's mayhem when they come loose at the party. This film has EVERYTHING! People accidently eating a dead person's ear in the custard, glueing mothers skin back on with super glue so know one will notic she's dead, mowing zombies down with a lawnmower, zombies in the food mixer, zombies having sex. The violence and chopping up zombies is horrific and hilarious. You MUST see this film!

The Burning

This film's alright. It is about a group of teenagers at a woodland camp setting fire acidently to the keepr's hut with him inside. He is very badly scarred and a few years later goes back to the camp. He starts killing the students in a rather silly revenge. However, it does have some good momments - sort of typical horror film of the 70's. Worth watching.
