Cannibal Holocaust

Only get this if you are prepared to watch really sick images of live animals being killed - I wasn't! They must be real, because I don't see they could do it any other way? Maybe I'm wrong. The story line is quite good - it's meant to be a couple of people making a documentary about a cannibal tribe in the jungle, but we see that the people doing the documentary seem more ravinous than the tribe people. I found it distasteful and irrelevant to watch the animals being slaughtered (even if it wasn't real). No wonder it was banned.

Carrie

Even though this is a horror, it is a very sad story. It is still a a very good, well directed film. A highschool girl has telekenetic powers and is hated at school because she doesn't fit it. Her mother is a bible basher and keeps Carrie away from the world, not telling her about the world's ways. When Carrie is invited to a prom, some other kids play a horrible joke on her and this leads to her rage. She kills people and sets fire to things with her special powers. When she comes home blood stained, her mother believes she is possesed by evil and plans to kill her to save her. It is very sad, but a good film to watch!!

Carrie 2 The Rage

Carrie's half sister sister Rachel also has the special powers, and also isn't liked much at school - though she isn't repressed liek Carrie. A school counsellor discover that Rachel has these powers and attempts to help her deal with them. At a dance, the kids are cruel and humiliate her which lead to her killing more people. In the end she dies - this is also quite a good film, but not as good as the first one.

Children of The Corn

As this is a Stephen King film, it is expected to be good.... however unfortuantly it isn't. I think the main thing that makes it 'unscary' is that the people doing the terrifying and killing are precocious brats - and kids of about 10 years old aren't very scary. Plus, it's hard to imagine that they are much of a match for adults. It's basically about a town that the children have taken to following a cult and kill all the adults, including trying to kill the two adult that come new to the town. Unfortunatly, somehow they managed to make many more children of the corn movies and they just get worse!

Child's Play 1

Charles Le Ray, a criminal is gunned down and in a desperate attempt to save his life he trasnports his soul into a GoodGuy doll - Chucky! In order to become human again, he has to transport is soul to a human body - the first person he reveals his self to. Unfortunatly, this is a small boy called Andy. Andy is terrorised by the doll and of course no one believes him, especially when people start getting murdered! Can he defeat Chucky? A very good film - make ya scared of dollies!

Child's Play 2

This time, Chucky is back and he wants Andy so he can steal his body! At Andy's foster home, there is a GoodGuy doll which Chucky throws out and imitates. He causes some havoc, and kills a few people then he means serious business in stealing Andy's body. With help from his foster sister, Andy escapes and runs into the GoodGuy factory. This bit has some quite gruesome scenes! And Chucky (now able to feel pain) gets crushed and melted and hacked to bits. Yeah! Good film!!

Child's Play 3

Andy is now a teenager at a millatary school. Chucky gets brought back to life hunts down Andy again in an attempt to steal his body. Of course, in the end he doesn't suceed. This is a good film also, but not as good as the other two! previously banned.

Clownhouse

If clowns creep you out, this is a good film! It is quite a good film actually.Three men escape from a mental institute and hide out at the local circus. They kill three clowns there and dress up as clowns themself. They follow home three brothers to their house, where their parents are both away. Unfortuantly, Casey the youngest brother has a fear of clowns! They break into their home and hunt to kill them; in the end it's a battle between the insane clowns and the two remainnig brothers. It has quite a realistic atmosphere and is quite creepy. It's worth getting!

Creepshow

I love creepshow! It is a Stephen King and is sort of a horror comic book come to life. It contains about four stories, whcih are all quite good! It isn't a serious horror, very much like tales from the crypt. It's a fun film to watch.

Creepshow 2

Again, this is good, set out in the same style as Creepshow. It has four comic style horror stories - worth a look! This has a fourth in the series, check out 'Bride of Chucky'.

Cujo

Suprisingly this is a Stephen King film, but I don't really see the point. It seems that the whole film is about a woman being stuck in a car with her son while an unscary dog scares them outside.
