The Return
of the Living Dead 
This is the sequel to the remake of 'Night of The Living Dead' and it's great - I found it very funny. It's about a millitary waste product that has been lost and kept in a guy's basement. He employs a relative to work for him and shows it to him one day - unfortunatly a horrible gas is omitted when the barrel is open - it contains a 'dead' zombie inside. The gas released makes the corpse come to life, and unfortuantly the guy's business is selling corpses to medical observation hospitals - so they become alive. After chopping them to bits, he asks a friend who owns a cremetorium to burn the left overs. This is all very well, except that the ashes omitted form the burnt body parts rise up to the clouds which soon rain. The rain sinks down into the earth in a graveyard and a whole troop of zombies are made! It's very funny and gory, I definitely recommend it! You can buy it with the first one.

Very pleasing! Great if you like zombie, gory type movies! It is about a young girl and boy who run away. The guy's father works for the millitary and they use his card key to enter the base one night. They look down and see an experiment being carried out where a corpse is hung up and is being sprayed with a gas. It comes back to life and seems a bit angry! Later, they have a motorcycle accident and the girl dies. The guy thinks it's a good idea to take his girlfriend back to the base and use the gas on her (even though the corpse behaved like a rabid dog). She gets brought back and they escape from a rather nasty looking zombie, and she seems back to her old self. Except that she eats people's brains and likes ripping her skin open. On the run from the millitary, they hide out underground but more blood is spilt and licked up, when a group of thugs crash the place. It's gory and amusing - brilliant!!!

The Ring
(the original) 
Brilliant! Usually, I am not scared by a film, but I admit that the Ring made me feel that creepy feeling on the back of my neck. Although it is Japanese and only has Englsih subtitles it was brilliantly done. It is about a video tape that is cursed - when you watch it you die within one week. They don't know what has killed each person, but their faces are twisted into a torment of terror. The idea doesn't sound scary, but you have to watch it to see for yourself. It has disturbing images and an eerie atmospshere. A reporter intends to find out the truth behind the half real/ half myth but in doing so endangers her and her son's lives by watching the video tape. They find it coinsides with a girl called Sadako who had pyschic powers but she was killed for fear of her powers. Her mother is featured on the eerie video tape and Sadako scares the victims to death one week after watching. You can almost feel the victims fear when Sadako is slowly moving towards them. It is sometimes hard to keep up with, but very much worth seeing.

The Ring 2
This was just as good as the first one if not better, as it still has the art of giving chills down the spine. It is sort the same storyline as the first one, but the truth about Sadako is uncovered again. The reporter's son Yoichi 'the ring' has developed strange powers since watching the video tape. A doctor and the main character Takano performs experiments with Yoichi to try and stop the curse of Sadako forever. The film is still very eerie with Sadako the living dead girl with long flowing hair that covers her face and that one, bulbous eye. It seems that Sadako's soul is laid to rest when Takano discovers the well and Sadako's dead body. . .

The Ring 0 (the prequel)
This film takes you back to Sadako's living life. You can feel very much sorry for her - everyone at schoool is against her. Her strange supernatural powers seem to be beyond her control and she is horrified by what they bring - murder. She is hunted down through a forest by people from the school and brutually beat her. She never seems to be able to die, and we learn that there are two Sadako's contained in one body. When she seeks the refuge with her father, it seems hopeful for the poor girl untill he tries to poison her. He throws her down a well and seals the lid - a sad prequel but worth watching, a japanese version of Carrie maybe?
