S
Street Trasch
This is OK but not terribly exciting. It does have some good scenes where people are metled but apart from that it doesn't have much action. People come across a crate of very old alcahole and it gets sold off cheap. Unfortuantly, when drunk it comepletely melts your flesh - that's the main jist of the film. It doesn't have much constitution, and it isn't too exciting.
The
Shining
Another Classic Stephen King film that is good. It's set in a big old hotel and the images of the past are effective. A family move to a secluded hotel but before they open, strange things start to happen. The boy comes into contact with spirits from the hotel and starts getting mysterious bruises on his body. Jack Nicholson is brilliantly insane when he turns mad, governed by the spirits in the hotel. He is violent and attacks his family - it is very tense and dramatic. Worth watching!

Side Show
This is quite a cheaply made film - but they've made a good attempt. It's basically about a bunch of teenagers who go to a circus and see some very realistic 'freaks' in the sideshow. When one of the party go missing, the others stay behind after closing time to try and find her. They get offered special tickets by a dwarf to go backstage and one by one they get an outside to match whats on the inside - allowing them to be a part of the sideshow.. Strange how the girl that's meant to be ugly, is better looking than the girl who is meant to be beautiful. It's quite an enjoyable film to watch.
Sixth
Sense
This film does have quite a few tense momments, but I think it's take a bit too long to warm up before anything happens. It's about a kid that 'sees dead people' that are all around us and his relationship with a psychologist (Bruce Willis). It doesn't follow the usual storyline of modern day horrors and even though the moments where you see anything are scarce, it is quite eerie. It also has a very good sting in the tale at the end which most people don't get.

Session 9
This is a good film with a good atmosphere - it isn't continuously nighttime when things start to happen. The characters seem like 'real' people and are portrayed well. It is about a few men who are working on an old sanitorium in the woods and the plot is quite complex. It is a little confusing at times, because you never quite now what 'the thing' is and what effect it is having on the characters. It is a good thing for a film to be able to [osess suspence without showing much! I would definitely suggest watching it because it's not typical but is more complex psychologically and scary. The thing through the eye made me cringe!!

Severed Ties
This is slightly a bad 80's style moster movie (although I believe it is made in the 90's). It's basically about a young scientist that is experimenting with growing humans limbs, and after losing his arm decides to grow himself a new arm. Unfortunatly, it goes wrong and he has to battle with his lizard type, mutated arm. Not only does he have to contend with that, his mother is after him to make money out of skills and comes on the rampage down into the underground society he is living in. It is watchable - best if you like monster type movies!

Sleepy
Hollow
Great! I could watch this many times, and I have. I find it very enchanting and though not very scary, it has a kind of eerie atmosphere. Maybe this is because the age in which it is set and the surrounding landscape. It is about the legend of the ghost of the headless horse man, in a place called Sleepy Hollow. The legend has come back and the headless horse man is swiping people's heads off with his sword, and many people are dying. A detective with new 'hi tech' scientific tools for investigating, is sent to Sleepy Hollow. It appears that someone is governing the horseman's head and influencing who dies. It is well scripted and the effects are good, mainly comended for it's settings - it is VERY worth watching!!!

Scream one is original and exciting - it started of the long chain of teen slasher movies. You always know by the video cover, if it is a teen slasher movie or not. If it is, they'll be about 5 teenagers looking 'realy deep and meaningful' on the front. Anyway, it's about a group of teenagers in a town, and people start killing their friends - then one girl seems picked out, by getting strange phone calls. The serial killer wears the famous white, scary mask and black cloak. It's up to the girl (Neve Campbell), a tv reporter and a clumsy policeman to find out who the killer is. The ending is not so obvious as most- and the film is basically quite amusing and interesting and good for a laugh. However, Scream 2 and 3 seem to lose the plot and become predictable and repeatative. Although, fans of college people getting hacked up by serial killers would appreciate all three films.
