True meaning of video nasty. Sickening - great if you like that sort of thing! It's about some kids that go on holiday in Texas and pick up this wierdo guy - they drop him off and think they;ve seen the last of him. Unfortunatly, the house in which they are staying is very near to a house inhabited by a family of freaks. Two of them stumble on it first, and are pouncced on by Leatherface brandishing a chainsaw. The whole family are mad - with slaughtering the kids on their minds. They torture the one girl who remains in very nasty ways. This film is very sick and gruesome which is good for gore fans.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2

This made feel sick in parts - it's worse than the first one. Leatherface is back with a filthy, mad relative who has a hole in is skull and picks away at it - eating it. The family are hiding out underground wth a mass of dead bodies they have slaughtered. Unknown to everyone, the elder relative is using humans in his prized recipes. A girl and a guy seek out the family with some nasty consequences - Leatherface wants her to be his girlfriend. Again, it's very disgusting and disturbing.

This is sort of like the first one - where safe persons turn out to be more derranged relatives - it makes you never want to drive through texas. A group of teenagers are driving throuigh Texas when they come across the house where the mad, cannibal people live - after being chased by one wierdo. The familys got bigger unfortunatly. More torture to the one remaining girl and there are some gruesome scenes. It's very good if you like sick video nasty type films because this has a lot in.

Thinner

This is a very good Stephen King film with a good plot, exciting story and good make up effects. It is about an overweight lawyer who accidently runs over a gypsy woman while his wife is giving him oral sex in the car. Even though he had been drinking, the judge let him off by swinging it. However, the gypsy woman's husband puts a curse on the overweight lawyer and the other poeple involved in getting him off the case. Firstly he is delighted that he is losing a lot of weight - however, he keeps losing weight even while gorging himself with food. His wife begins to get worried, wanting him to stay at a hospital while he suspects she is having an affair. One by one, the other people that were on the case start disappearing and when he goes to see each of them they are dying with strange diseases. Eventually he links it with the gypsy and goes to find him - meanwhile he is geting deperately thin. After much fighting and threats, he manages to get the gypsy to reverse the curse. A good chance to give it to his adulterous wife. It is an imaginative film that doesn't alow itself to get boring.

The Tingler

This film is old, so it isn't very scary - but quite entertaining! It starts off with a man trying to kill his wife, who is dumb (as in can't talk). Knowing she has a fear of blood, he intends to scare her to death by dressing up and stuff. The Tingler starts when a person is so scared but they are unable to scream and a part of their backbone comes to life and goes round killing people. It's quite fun to watch, I'd recommend seeing it.

The Tommy Knockers

This is an interessting film but not scary - more for science fiction fans. A strange object is uncovered in the woods, and people start developing starnge powers, then it seems they are being influenced. One man isn't affected at all because he has a metal plate in his head. It is a good psychological thriller and although it is quite long it doesn't get boring.

Thirteen Ghosts

Very good! this is made by the same people that made 'House on Haunted Hill' - and it has some likenesses to that film. The ghosts are scary and original and the special effects are good. I recommend watching this, though it isn't as good as House on Haunted Hill!

28 Days Later

Very Impressive! Some animal rights activists set loose some apes with a virus and apprantly it has a bad effect when they bite the people. A man wakes up 28 days later (naked!) in a hospital bed and discovers that the hospital is completely empty. He rushes out to the streets of London and it is copmpletely bare. This is an extremely impressive part of the film, with London completely deserted - how did they do it? He comes across a church where there seem to be demented, rabid typ people - luckily some people turn up to save him . It is a terrifying battle agasint the rabid, zombie type people. It is full of action and brilliant
